Dana Isler's Pictures of NorthWestern Argentina

Pictures by Dana Isler

Northwest of Argentina

These pictures were photographed by Dana Isler. Dana is living now in Israel.

The NorthWest of Argentina is a very picturesque place. The views go from quiet streets backed by colorful mountains to desertic valleys.

I enjoyed taking pictures of the people in this area. I liked the innocence of the children, the humility of the adults and their simple attitude to life.

Young child in Humahuaca

I liked her innocent look and her sweetness

Artist Woman

It was interesting to watch her doing her craft.

COYA

Her face shows the harshness of the weather which is very dry in a high altitude.

GENERATIONS

The old man was angry, one of the children was shy and the other one was concentrated on his milk.

WAITING

This sweet girl was the only audience of a local soccer game.

GAUCHO

Typical dress from Argentina
It didn't make him happy to see me taking pictures of him

RESTING

The combination of heat and high altitude made this man drowsy. Even though it was very hot he was wearing a jacket.

MAIMARA

This is a view of the cemetery of the Maimara Village.
